Experienced publishing professional with many years working in the areas of digital innovation, strategic planning, change management, marketing and communications. Over the last 21 years the career has spanned newspaper, academic, reference, STM and trade publishing. Sara Lloyd leads Pan Macmillan’s digital strategy and associated business model, channel, workflow and product innovation, and she is also responsible for the group's communications teams and strategy, covering marketing, publicity and corporate communications. She works on envisioning the way in which book, author and brand communications will evolve as the publishing industry transitions from printed books to ebooks and from bricks and mortar channels to online. Operationally she is responsible for the group's entire communications output including promotions of all types through paid-for, earned and owned platforms.
